Welcome to Family Assistance Ministries!

Family Assistance Ministries exists to serve the underpriveleged and undernourished population of South Orange County. To learn more about FAM, please watch our video!

Family Assistance Ministries is providing food, shelter, and client aid to thousands of people in South Orange County. We provide shelter, utility assistance, transportation assistance, medical, dental, prescriptions assistance, financial counseling and courses as well as collaborating with other social services organizations to provide referrals and medical screenings, immunizations, eye glasses, and much more!

Family Assistance Ministries has Moved!

The number of requests for assistance continues to grow.  Families and individuals continue to find themselves having difficulty staying in their homes and jobs.  FAM recognized the need to bring in more collaboration partners as well as the need for more space (6 of our 10 employees and our collaborating partners worked at desks and partitions in the warehouses enduring the heat and cold depending upon the season).

FAM now has room for most employees to be inside as well as out collaboration partners allowing for more room for additional partners to bring more services.  This will help clients get back on their feet and become self-sustaining faster!

Save the Date for the 25th Annual Hunger Walk!

The 25th Annual South Orange County Hunger Walk will be held on October 21, 2012. Every year for the past 25 years, FAM has hosted the Hunger Walk in San Clemente to raise funds that go directly to supporting our hungry friends and neighbors in South Orange county.

Last year, over 500 community members participated in one of the most successful Hunger Walk events in FAM's history. This year, we want hope to have even more! We need your help. Save the date and begin gathering your friends and family members to participate in what we hope will be the largest and most successful Hunger Walk Orange County has ever seen!
