This month I want to celebrate what you have made possible—housing, safety and comfort for desperate moms, dads and their children who were homeless. I also want to inform you of a big need.
But first, my thanks. Anna was a mother of two children. The father became very abusive to Anna. They had moved to a foreign country. When she fled back to the United States for safety reasons she was unable to bring her children with her. She tried to regain custody but because there is no reciprocal agreement with that country, Anna could not get them back. I cannot imagine her heartache!
There was nothing she could do and sadly in her grief she fell into another abusive relationship. When she left this man, Anna was pregnant and became a single mother, AND homeless. Then she heard critically important news. Her two older children, who she thought forever lost, were back in the U.S., but in Foster Care and in another...
