It’s such a privilege for all of us at FAM—the board of directors, staff and many volunteers—to serve as your arms of love to the less fortunate. They often suffer through no fault of their own and can face considerable stress and anxiety.
But, because of you, they find relief and hope at FAM, especially during the holidays (more on that in a moment). First, let me tell you about Mike and Julia.
They have been self-employed and successful but lost their income due to COVID-19. With two children, a teenager, and one elementary school age child to care for, their stress increased tremendously.
They broke their apartment lease knowing that any reserve savings would soon be gone. The pressure also took a toll on their already difficult marriage and they separated. Now single, Julia didn’t know where to turn...
