A very unusual way to start my letter? Yes! I’ll explain why in just a moment. First, I want to say a very big thank you.
Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah or just enjoy this wonderful season, I am grateful for you and every partner, every volunteer of FAM. For it’s you who make this unique ministry of love and restoration possible. I am so grateful.
Now, what do I mean by “Re-Homed for the holidays”? It’s simple. Over the past three months your partnership has helped rescue 18 families out of homelessness! They will be home for the holidays, together, around a Christmas tree or lights of the season—off the streets, safe and warm.
Let me tell you about two precious families you’ve helped.
Emily is a resourceful, hardworking mother. She went through a difficult divorce. Caring for four children, even with child support, it was hard for her to meet her expenses, including rent. Then her oldest son wanted to move in with his father. Emily told us, “That worked out fine for him because his child support payments were reduced by $900 per month, and so was my income...”
